Otakon Fashion Show

Recently, I went to Otakon which is an anime convention held in Baltimore, Maryland. I had the pleasure of meeting and taking a picture with both Mitsuba and Masumi Kano. They are both Lolita designers. I actually really liked Mitsuba's fashion design a lot better. I attended their fashion show and really enjoyed it. I love these shows and I really admired their style and where they get their inspiration from. I learned that Mitsuba got some of her inspiration from an anime called, Black Butler. I wasn't surprised, a lot of her work seem to have that kind of "black butler feel" to it. :P

Here are some pictures from the fashion show that I attended. I'm sorry, some of the pictures didn't turn out the way that I wanted them too, but I was working with my new camera. So I apologize. These are the pictures from some of Mitsuba's collection.

...and these are pictures from some of Masumi Kano's collection:

Starting Up Again

Hey everyone,
So it's been a while since the last time I've posted. I've kind of lost hope in doing more tutorials because I don't think my creativity is good enough, but after talking to some of my friends who are supporting me with this I have decided to start it up again. School starts up in a week for me so I won't have much time making tutorials, but I'm going to start posting pictures of my nails or make up ideas. When I have time during the winter break or summer break, I may do a tutorial. An old friend of mine broke the camera I use to do my tutorials, so I have to find a new way to do that. For now, I hope you enjoy my posts and pictures.
I've also gotten a new hair cut. My hair has changed a lot this year, but here's a close up picture of what it looks like. Anyway, I cut my own bangs which are just straight across bangs and I had my friend cut a bob. You can't really see it in this picture, but hopefully I'll upload a better of it in the future.

On another note, I decided to paint my nails. As you can see the picture, I wanted to do something bright and colorful, and I thought the colors looked nice with each other. I guess I was inspired by cotton candy? (: It's a bit messy, but It doesn't matter. At first, I wanted to add the white/silver crackle to it, but I liked the sparkles. Maybe next time I'll add the crackle and see what it looks like. Enjoy.

Fashion at Tyson's Galleria

Saturday October 16, 2010 -

I was a part of the informal fashion show at Macy's in Tyson's Galleria. It was an interesting new experience and I hope that I will get to do more. Anyway, We went there and got our make up done. The lady who did my make up didn't really know what she was doing, so I was a bit disappointed, but I guess I shouldn't let that bother me.

So the day before, I had to get fitted so I already knew what clothes I was going to wear. The clothing lines that I really like were Rachel Roy, BCBG, and I.N.C. I honestly wish I had money to buy their clothes! I wish I was a part of the formal wear beause, the outfits and dressed they had on, were beautiful!

At the end of the event, the lady that we were working with gave us all a gift card of $50. So I decided that I was going to buy one of Rachel Roy's top that I absolutely fell in love with. We I was at the front desk, the cashier told me about that if I were to give five dollars to donation, then I was able to get 25% off my next purchase. So in that case, along with the $50 off and 25% off, I was able to get the top for only $1.86!!!
This really just made my day, I was really happy.

I didn't get a chance to take pictures of all the outfits I wore, but at least I got to take pictures of the outfits I liked the most.

here is the picture of the top the website.

This is a picture of what it looks like up close -- I love the chain, and how there's a bit of a scarf thing going on.

This is a picture of me with the full outfit. Everything I'm wearing is designed by Rachel Roy. I loved this outfit the most. Don't mind my ugliness. I really want that cardigan and those sweat leggings I was wearing, but this whole outfit put together was about $200-$300...I honestly don't have money like that...

This is a picture of me wearing a dress from BCBG. I love this dress and wish I owned it. This dress is $198.00. =_______=

~That's all for now! <3

Dandelion Inspired Nails!

One of the things I like to do very much are painting my own nails. Why spend money on nails when I can do it myself? The designs I do are very simple. This is my first tutorial, so If there are any suggestions you would like to tell me, please let me know! It would be very much appreciated! Please don't write rude comments, I am just starting out!

This is a very simple dandelion look. It could be worn for the spring/fall season. You can pick any base color you would like, but stick with greenish or blueish colors. Good Luck!

What you need:
- Any base color (I used a lavender blueish color)
- 2 toothpicks
- scissors (to cut the toothpick)
- thin brushes
- black/white nail polish
- Silver glitter nail polish.

New Hairstyle.

On another note, I wanted to share my new hairstyle. I actually got it done yesterday by a good friend of mine. You can check out her blog here. It literally took her about three hours to do my hair! I felt really bad, her back was hurting. Anyway, It's a new look for me and I hope that other people will like it as well.

Here are two pictures. One will be showing the front view and the second will be showing the side view. (sorry the pictures aren't the greatest, I didn't edit the pictures.)
